Problem 1: Some of the schedulers for Communities scheduled tasks need to be changed for optimal performance.
Problem 2: Because of problems in the Communities module, the schedulers need to be checked whether they are running as configured.
Problem 1:
- Search the IBM Connections documentation for the steps to solve your problem.
- Start the wsadmin commandline interface as administrator. ATTENTION: All commands for the commandline interface are case sensitive!
- Activate the relevant Jython script.
- Check out the relevant IBM Connections configuration XML file.
- Open the IBM Connections configuration XML file and edit the parameters. ATTENTION: Make sure you don’t accidentally violate the XML schema, e.g. by forgetting to close a tag or a quotation mark.
- Check in the configuration file again.
Problem 2:
- Search the IBM Connections documentation for the steps to solve your problem.

Navigate to Administration – Communities, subsection Scheduled Tasks. There, you can see all available scheduled tasks for Communities in the individual tabs.
Problem 1: To change the schedule, simply click in the Cron-Expression text-box, and a window will open where you can read the schedule more easily than in its condensed cron expression form. You can also edit the schedule there.
After editing the parameters, a confirmation popup summarizes the changes and allows you to enter a comment. All changes, comments, and who made them, are logged by the CAT application.
Problem 2: To view whether a scheduled task is still operating, and when it will be fired next, simply click ‘Get Details’
