Problem Description

Problem 1: A wiki needs more space than the default 500 MB

Problem 2: The default wiki library quota should be lowered from 500 MB to 250 MB.

Solution with Websphere Commandline Interface

Search the IBM Connections documentation for the steps to solve your problem.

  1. Start the wsadmin commandline interface as administrator. ATTENTION: All commands for the commandline interface are case sensitive!
  2. Activate the relevant Jython script.
  3. Check out the relevant IBM Connections configuration XML file.
  4. Open the IBM Connections configuration XML file and edit the parameters. ATTENTION: Make sure you don’t accidentally violate the XML schema, e.g. by forgetting to close a tag or a quotation mark.
  5. Check in the configuration file again.

Solution with Connections Administration Toolkit (CAT)

Navigate to Administration – Wikis, subsection Manage Policies. There, you can view all available policies.

Problem 1: If there is no policy available matching the new requirements, use button “New Policy” to create one of the desired size.

Then navigate to Content And Access – Wikis and filter for the wiki.

Select the wiki and use “Set Policy” to change the quota to the new policy. A confirmation popup summarizes the changes and allows you to enter a comment. All changes, comments, and who made them, are logged by the CAT application.

Problem 2:
In the policy “!Default for Community Wikis”, edit the “Maximum Size” to reflect the new limit of 300 MB
